Pet Odour Problems
At some time most pet owners have had to deal with pet urine problems. Until now even the best urine odour products on the market could only wash away the water based parts of the urine and mask the smell of the urine crystals that remained in the affected area even after cleaning. Left untreated these crystals produce odours for up to five years.
Chem-Dry Universal’s new Pet Urine Removal Treatment (P.U.R.T.) attacks these crystals directly, reducing their odour producing time from FIVE years to 48hrs. P.U.R.T. is tough on the problems of urine but safe on soft furnishings and hard surfaces.
Copied from Mother Nature P.U.R.T is an enzyme based product that attacks the uric salt crystals directly and when these crystals are eliminated the odours are gone permanently.
Chem-Dry Universal will first carry out a `BLACKLIGHT` survey to determine the full extent of the urine problem. This ultra- violet survey shows all urine stains - many of which are not visible in normal circumstances. Following this survey P.U.R.T. will be applied to all affected areas. These areas must remain damp for up to 48hrs to allow the enzymes to break down the urine crystals. During this time the odour will dramatically increase and to help counteract this ‘odour eliminating crystals` are left in the affected rooms.
P.U.R.T. is not an antibacterial or a cleaning solution. Chem-Dry Universal would advise that following the P.U.R.T. treatment an appointment is made to have the furnishings fully Chem-Dry cleaned.
Urine crystals are acidic and if left for a long period of time or if a pet repeatedly urinates in the same place (territory marking) may cause affected areas to scorch and in effect burn organic materials. In these cases the odour producing crystals will be broken down but the visible staining may still be evident.
The three stage treatment procedure provided by Chem-Dry Universal of an ultra violet survey, P.U.R.T. application and a Chem-Dry clean is the most effective way of dealing with a difficult and often embarrassing but not uncommon problem.
